I have totally lost power too many times to count. It seems to happen without rhyme or reason. It can happen at any speed, 25mph to 75mph. It can happen when the engine is hot or cold. Approx, 1 month ago the engine stalled out while driving on the highway. 6/6/02 the engine stalled out on highway offramp. 6/7/02 car stalled out while going approx 35mph on a city street. Brakes squeak when applied. After 4th trip into dealership, service advisor said this is a common problem for the ford focus but that ford is not doing anything about it.
