When accelerating from a stopped position, or a slowed speed (such as in a traffic jam), the vehicle jumps/lurches due to a problem with the timer on the automatic standard transmission. This is a known problem to ford and many people are having problems and being placed in unsafe situations. I paid good money (as did everyone else) for a car that is known to be unsafe and ford refuses to do anything.
