Bought my 2007 ford focus and as soon as my warranty expired both rear doors are now locked shut and i can not get them open by unlocking them, the handles don't seem to be catching on anything and the latch seems to be stuck. Rear driver's side door latch failed, causing door to pop open - the latch has a recall, but only through 2005 - same latch is used. The door will now not close at all. I had the same issue on my 2003 focus. Car has less than 70000 miles on it. If there was ever a safety issue needing a recall, it is doors popping open on their own.
