Automatic transmission sometimes misses gears or slips into neutral while accelerating. So far it has always found a gear eventually, but causes a temporary slowdown that may eventually cause an accident. Ford says there is no issue or the clutch pack needs to be replaced . This is a dangerous design flaw ford is aware of.

I've had my 2016 ford focus se 4-door for one year. It has almost 50,000 miles. I've had to have the clutch replaced once, and many other things, and the local ford dealership said it's ready for another clutch soon. It's an automatic but grinds when changing gears. Also, the car is getting 15 miles per hour city and highway driving. The car is supposed to be a economy car/flex fuel. It's not, it's a lemon.
